Kenton City Schools Honors Retiring Employees at Board Meeting

Three long-time Kenton City Schools employees were recognized for their retirements.

At the Board of Education meeting Monday evening, Superintendent Chad Thrush presented Golden Apples to Nanette LaVergne for 30 years and Carol Scott for 29 years of service.

Kevin Kapanka was also recognized.

He retired in 2015 after 29 years and was rehired and worked at KCS for 11 more years.

Numerous routine end-of-school year personnel items were also approved by the Board.

The next meeting is scheduled for June 15.
