Tim Castle, Brent Moore, and Jeff Prater stand in front of Kenton’s new street sweeper.

“We are very excited to start working on getting the streets cleaned up. It has been a long time coming” said Castle, Public Works Superintendent.

Keeping the streets, curbs, and gutters clean and free of debris not only improves the appearance and cleanliness of the streets but will help maintain the City’s stormwater and street assets.

The City is working on developing a cleaning schedule and hope to announce it in the coming weeks.

“This will involve the cooperation of all the citizens to ensure that we are able to have access to our streets and curbs,” said Mayor Lynn Webb. “We are making investments for our future throughout the city. This sweeper will help us maintain that investment now and for the future generation.”
