Kenton High School P.A.W.S., a Positive Peer Advocates group focused on promoting mental health awareness, is collecting pop tabs to support a meaningful cause.
The first Ronald McDonald House opened in Philadelphia, PA in 1974. Their programs and services address the essential needs of families around the world – all along their child’s healthcare journey – so they can focus on the health and well-being of their child.
There are multiple locations in Ohio including in Columbus, Toledo, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Dayton.
Pop tabs will be collected to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, which provide essential support for families with hospitalized children.
Tabs will be collected during advisory period from now until mid-April.
Students and community members are encouraged to participate.
Community members who would like to participate can bring the tabs to the Kenton High School main office during the school day or send them with a high school student.
The proceeds from the fundraiser will help pay for utilities, which will allow Ronald McDonald House to keep helping families every day.
