Kenton Police Department goes live with National Testing Network

Kenton City Council met today, July 24th 2023, for their 14th regular session. Kenton Police Chief Dennis Musser had discussed the National Testing Network going live. He had also discussed that they are looking for new hires at the department. Chief Musser also asked to possibly get a new vehicle for the department by 2024.

The parking lot behind Middlefield Bank will be closed off Thursday and Friday due to getting new pavement. Once the pavement behind the bank is finished, the there will be repairs on Franklin and Detroit Streets. There are also plans to tear down the old Espy Barber building, as well as others.

A new stop sign will be placed by the new donut shop for safety.

Ordinance 23-017 for a purchase of a new Ambulance was approved. Ordinance 23-018 was also passed for the bridge repair on Leighton Street, and pavement repairs for Franklin and Detroit Streets.
