A Kenton woman reported an identity fraud to Kenton police over the weekend.

According to the Kenton Police Department report, the victim said a credit report showed that she has an outstanding bill on a Verizon Wireless account in the amount of $1688.

She said she has phone service with another provider and has never had a Verizon account.

That would indicate someone used her personal information to open an account.

The incident is under investigation.
