KES Placed Under Secure Standard Protocol
Kenton Elementary School was placed under “Secure” standard response protocol Wednesday afternoon due to an unknown individual walking around the school premises.
Secure protocol brings everyone inside the building until further notice.
Local law enforcement was notified and the school resource officer responded immediately.
At this time, school grounds have been thoroughly searched and cleared while officers continue to look for the individual off school property.
The safety of the children will always be the school’s top priority.
