Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a life threatening emergency that happens when the heart stops beating. It happens in people of all ages, including kids, and comes with no warning. It’s NOT a heart attack- it’s a structural or electrical issue with the heart. SCA can be fatal if it’s not treated immediately. The best way to protect your child is through testing to determine the risk for SCA.
Kenton High School is offering low-cost screenings at the high school on Tuesday September 17th and on Tuesday, October 1st. The screenings are being performed by MCORE Foundation, a nationally recognized non-profit dedicated to preventing SCA in youth and young adults through education, screening and research. These screenings are for students (primarily athletes) in grades 7-12. The screenings will take place in the KHS Health Clinic. Space is limited! There is 1 spot remaining for September 17th. Due to demand, we have added a second date of October 1st.
Due to generous donations we are able to offer these screenings at the very discounted price of $20
