May is NF Awareness Month
The month of May is Neurofibromatosis Awareness Month.
Local resident Larry Gossard, who’s now 11 years old son Brice was diagnosed with NF when he was 10 months old , has worked hard to raise awareness and funds for research.
Gossard’s efforts resulted in a law passed in Ohio, which proclaims the month as NF Awareness Month.
It is the only state in the U.S. to have passed such a law.
