The Marion County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MCBDD), in collaboration with the Marion Victim Assistance Program and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, will host a Situational Awareness Workshop tailored for individuals with developmental disabilities.

The free event will take place on Tuesday, May 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the MCBDD building, located at 2387 Harding Highway East.

This specialized class will help participants recognize and respond to their surroundings, identify potential dangers, and make informed decisions to stay safe in a variety of situations. Designed for individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as their families, caregivers, and providers, the session aims to provide practical tools for everyday safety.

Lunch will be provided, and pre-registration is required at www.marioncountydd.org.
