MTC Scholarship Fund Established in Memory of Fallen Morrow County Deputy

The family of a fallen Morrow County Sheriff’s deputy started a scholarship fund to train future law enforcement officers as well as equip a training center at Marion Technical College.

Daniel Weston Sherrer was killed on Memorial Day 2025 after responding to a domestic violence situation in the 100 block of County Road 26 in Marengo.

His family started the scholarship fund, which is possible by donations, in memory of his life and legacy.
