The Multi-County Correctional Center announced the launch on Wednesday of the National Sheriffs’ Association’s IGNITE Program.

The facility is the 41st jail in the nation to launch IGNITE, an initiative that provides incarcerated individuals with education, programming, resources, and opportunities to support successful reentry.

The goal is to help individuals leave the Multi-County Correctional Center better prepared for success than when they arrived.

Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart was on hand for the launch.

He stated he is very proud to be a part of the exciting program that is working to give every inmate a better chance of success upon release.
