Today is National Seat Belt Day.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is encouraging drivers and passengers to celebrate by buckling up.

A recent survey indicated that 4 out of 5 adults say they don’t always use a seat belt while being a passenger in the backseat.

The patrol notes that wearing a safety belt is the best way to protect yourself in the event of a crash.
