Nearly Total Lunar Eclipse to Be Visible Thursday Night
An almost total lunar eclipse will be visible Thursday night, and the good news is skies are forecast to be mostly clear around Hardin County.
The eclipse officially starts at 10:33 Thursday evening, reaches its maximum peak at 12:12 and ends at just after 3:00 Friday morning.
While not a total lunar eclipse, it will be very close with 96.2% of the Moon becoming obscured.
The Moon will be a deep red hue alongside a thin bit of silver along one edge.
