There’s a critical need for volunteers and blood and platelet donors to join the Red Cross in preparing for emergencies across the nation.
Shelter volunteers, health professionals and disaster responders are needed, as well as blood and platelet donors, who help ensure blood is readily available when patients need it.
There are two blood drives in Hardin County this month.
The first is August 23 from noon until 6 at First Baptist Church on County Road 175 in Kenton.
Another blood drive will take place from 2 until 7pm on August 25 at McVitty Memorial VFW Post in Forest.
