A new water main is being installed on Gage and Smith Street in Forest early this month.
According to a letter sent to village residents, water main will be installed on Smith from Campbell Street to 412 Smith Street.
The street will be closed to thru traffic, but will remain accessible to local residents, school and emergency vehicles.
The water main will then be installed on Gage Street beginning at the 505 address and going east to Gormley. Gage Street traffic will be maintained to one lane.
After the water mains are tested and approved, each house will be transferred from the old water main to the new one.
The process requires shutting off the water service for roughly 30 minutes.
Officials will attempt to contact the residents affected before shutting the water off.
