Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation Celebrates Big Boy Visit to Fostoria with Steam Train Rides

In honor of the 4014 Big Boy Steam Locomotive’s visit to Fostoria, the Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation will be operating its 901-quarter scale steam locomotive on Tuesday, July 14, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

The Big Boy will be in Fostoria at the Fostoria Automotive Distribution Center, located at 3101 North Township Road 47 that day from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.. This event is free and open to the public. For more information on the Fostoria event, please visit Destination Seneca County by clicking here.

After visiting the Big Boy in Fostoria, you can stop out to the Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation museum at 12505 County Road 99 in Findlay and ride the coal fired 901 Steam train.

The cost will be $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for children 12 and under.

The model train exhibits will be operating, and the kids’ zone and mini golf will also be open.
