October 28 is National First Responders Day
Today is National First Responders Day.
There are an estimated 4.6 million career and volunteer firefighters, police, emergency medical technicians, and paramedic workers serving communities all across the nation.
The day is set aside to recognize the heroic men and women who make it their business to take immediate action when disaster strikes.
