Ohio Northern University is celebrating its sesquicentennial.

The university was founded in 1871 as a teacher’s college but has evolved into one of the top universities in the Midwest.

H.S. Lehr established the Northwestern Ohio Normal School, the school’s original name.

His vision was that graduates would take their knowledge, skills and intellect into the world to serve the larger society.

To mark the 150 years of existence, the entire academic year has been packed with fun and engaging programs and events.
