Ohio State Highway Patrol Reminds Drivers to Move Over for Emergency Vehicles
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding motorists that flashing emergency lights mean it’s time to move over or, when that’s not possible, reduce your speed.
Troopers issued 7,020 citations in work zones last year.
Over a third was for drivers exceeding the limit by 20 miles per hour or more.
The law imposes fines of up to $300 for first-time offenders and up to $1,000 for repeat offenders, and strict criminal charges for violations causing injury or death.
