Oktoberfest Findlay! Returns September 26 to Celebrate Community, Heritage, and History

Findlay, OH – The Oktoberfest Findlay! Festival, presented by WesBanco, will return to downtown Findlay on Saturday, September 26, 2026, bringing thousands of residents and visitors together for a day of food, music, family activities, and community spirit, all in support of the Hancock Historical Museum. The festival, now in its 12th year, has become one of the largest single-day events in Hancock County and serves as an important fundraiser for the museum’s educational programs and preservation efforts.

Held on South Main Street in downtown Findlay, the festival celebrates the German heritage that helped shape Hancock County while providing a fun gathering place for friends, families, neighbors, and visitors to enjoy the best of the fall season.

“At its heart, Oktoberfest Findlay is about bringing our community together,” said Abigail Inbody, Executive Director of the Hancock Historical Museum. “While guests come for the food, music, and festivities, every ticket purchased helps support the museum’s mission of preserving and sharing Hancock County’s history. It’s a wonderful example of how a community celebration can make a lasting impact.”

Festival-goers can enjoy live German entertainment and music (presented by Spitzer Buick, GMC, Nissan), German-inspired food offerings from local vendors, and authentic favorites from Schmidt’s Sausage Haus, including the return of the famous cream puffs. Organizers have challenged every food vendor to feature a German-inspired menu item, giving guests plenty of opportunities to sample festive flavors throughout the day.

Craft beer enthusiasts will find plenty to raise a stein to as well, with local breweries including Findlay Brewing Company serving seasonal favorites alongside German imports and domestic selections. Beer tickets will be available for just $4 each, making it easy for guests to sample a variety of offerings throughout the festival in their Harold Shuck color-changing cups.

Families are encouraged to attend and enjoy the popular Kinderplatz Kid’s Zone, sponsored by Superior Trim, located in Dorney Plaza from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Children can enjoy dozens of crafts, games, and family-friendly activities designed to create lasting memories for festival-goers of all ages.

Additional entertainment throughout the day will include crowd-favorite contests and competitions, sponsored by Werk Brau, opportunities to celebrate German traditions, and plenty of chances to experience the warm sense of Gemütlichkeit, or fellowship, that has become a hallmark of the festival.

Admission Information: Adults (18 and older) are $10, youth (17 and younger) are $5, and children in strollers are free to attend.

Gates open at 2:00 p.m. and continues through the evening until 10:30 p.m. The event welcomes residents and visitors alike to celebrate local heritage while supporting one of Hancock County’s most treasured cultural institutions.
