One person was killed and another seriously injured in a head-on collision that occurred just after 9 Thursday evening on State Route 31 south of Mt. Victory.
According to the report from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of a northbound vehicle, identified as Exavier Wooten, of Westerville, Ohio, was killed in the crash.
Trevor Maughmer, of Junction City, Ohio, was identified as the driver of the southbound vehicle. He was taken by Lifeflight Helicopter to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima with unknown injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the Multi-County Crash Team.
Southeast Hardin EMS, Southeast Hardin-Northwest Union Fire Department, Sheriff’s Office VIPS, Union County Sheriff’s Office, Hardin County Coroner’s Office and Osborne’s Towing all assisted at the scene.
31 was closed for around 4 and a half hours.
