OSP Update: Marion Man Dies from Injuries Suffered in Sunday Crash
An injury crash that occurred this past Sunday evening in Marion County has turned into a fatal crash.
According to the release from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 79-year-old James Wetzel was attempting to make a right turn from US 23 onto County Road 195 on his Harley Davidson Tri Glide Ultra motorcycle, when a semi being operated 40-year-old Abdulkhalif Warsame, of Gahanna, struck the motorcycle from behind.
Wetzel was flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus where he later died.
The crash remains under investigation.
