Polls Open Until 7:30 this Evening

Ohio’s Primary Election takes place today.

Contested races on the ballot include on the Republican ballot, the race for Representative of the 83rd District in the Ohio House of Representatives. Incumbent Jon Cross is being challenged by Ty Mathews.

The winner will take on Democrat Sheila Coressel this November. She is running unopposed on the Democratic ballot.

Residents of Buck, Kenton and Pleasant Townships will decide the fate of tax levy. The ambulance district is seeking passage of an additional tax for the purpose of providing ambulance service, emergency medical service, or both.

The county auditor estimates the levy will collect $802,000 annually

Riverdale is trying again on a tax levy that was narrowly defeated in the November election.

The school is seeking the levy for the purpose of general permanent improvements.

Polls are open today until 7:30 this evening.
