Softball Tournament - Hardin Northern vs USV 5/21/26 WKTN Sports

Kenton Historic Courthouse District Coordinator and Revitalize Kenton Board Member Jennifer Ramge presented a proposal to the Fair Board at this week’s Agricultural Society meeting.
She asked about the Fairgrounds being host to a newly formed coon dog trial competition.
The event would be held inside the fenced in area, and Ramge would like the fairgrounds to be the camping area and flea market with two other locations off site for the dog competitions and water competitions.
All revenue would be donated to the Fairgrounds if an event can be held there.
Ramge stated that she would like volunteers from the whole county to be on a committee to help organize the event.
One obstacle in the way of approving the proposal is the lease that the Fairboard has with the Hardin County Commissioners that would need to be changed to allow alcohol on the fairgrounds in order to have the event there.
The full meeting notes from the August 5, 2026 Hardin County Agricultural Society meeting can be found below.
