Quest Federal Credit Union Warns Members About a Scam

Quest Federal Credit Union said that they have received calls from some members telling them that they received phone calls that use the Main branch’s phone number as the caller ID information.

The callers are requesting debit card and account information to be given in an urgent and important manner to fix a problem that is nonexistent.

This is a form of fraud that employs Caller ID Spoofing.

Unfortunately, there is basic technology that makes it possible to enter any business name and phone number to then make calls and have the caller ID information appear as if it were from the business indicated on the caller ID.

If you receive one of these calls, do not give out any personal information and be sure to contact the credit union right away to report this scam.

Members are advised to be cautious as this activity is occurring and be sure to check the Quest Federal Credit Union Facebook page for more updates.
