Regional and State Titles on the Line for Riverdale Esports This Weekend
Riverdale‘s Fortnite Esports team has officially qualified for the Ohio High School Athletic Association Esports Ohio in-person postseason championships for the 2025-26 season.
The team will compete in the Regional Championships this Saturday and Sunday, February 21 and 22.
Since Fortnite competition concludes at the regional level, they will also be competing on-site for the OHSAA State Championship title during the same event weekend.
Esports Ohio is a nonprofit, teacher-founded organization that partners with the Ohio High School Athletic Association to provide structured, educational esports competition.
This program emphasizes teamwork, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and digital citizenship, which are skills that extend far beyond the game and into the classroom and workforce.
