KENTON, OHIO — Revitalize Kenton is excited to invite the community to a free Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 6th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the east parking lot of the Kenton Shopping Plaza.
Designed as a fun-filled day for young and old alike, the event will feature a wide variety of family friendly activities including Power Wheels Derby, Pet Parade, Old Fashioned Games, Arts & Crafts for Kids, Chalk Art, Life Size Jenga, Snow Cones, Cotton Candy, Cookie Decorating, Ice Cream, Free Hot Dogs for the First 100 Kids, and much more.
One of the featured attractions will be the Power Wheels Derby, organized by Tim & Kim Hastings, where children ages 10 and under can bring their own battery-operated vehicles for a just-for-fun derby experience. Every child participating will receive a medal and a coupon generously donated by Hastings Hauling and Yankee’s Dairy Queen.
Revitalize Kenton would like to extend sincere appreciation to the Hardin Community Foundation for providing grant funding to help make this event possible and little or no cost for participants. The organization also wishes to thank the many local groups, businesses, volunteers, and community members who are donating activities, supplies, prizes, and their time to create a memorable day for local families. There is no rain date, we expect this event to take place regardless of the weather.
“We wanted to create an event where families, seniors, neighbors, and children could come together for a fun and positive day in our community,” said Kelli Bostelman, Promotions Committee Chair for Revitalize Kenton. “The amount of support we’ve received from local businesses, organizations, volunteers, and donors has been incredible, and we are so thankful to everyone helping make this event possible.”
Activities continue to be added as the event approaches, and community members are encouraged to follow Revitalize Kenton on social media for updates and announcements. For more information, visit Revitalize Kenton on Facebook or contact the organization directly.
