Semi Trailer Loaded with Livestock Struck by Train in Putnam County

The driver of a semi escaped injury after his trailer hauling livestock was struck by a train Thursday afternoon.

 

This happened in Putnam County, south of Ottawa.

 

Hometown Stations reported that the semi got stuck on the tracks, and the trailer was struck by the oncoming train.

 

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office handled the crash.

 

It is not known how many of the 29 cows on the trailer were killed.
