Lima, OH – Area Agency on Aging 3’s Silver Birch Foundation will be holding its 8th Annual Dinner and Auction on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the UNOH Event Center. The dinner and auction raises money for the Silver Birch Foundation to support the mission of Area Agency on Aging 3.

The Silver Birch Foundation was established in July 2017 The Silver Birch Foundation aids older adults that are facing forms of abuse, whether it be physical, sexual, verbal, exploitation, abandonment, self-neglect and malnutrition. Focusing on the health and safety of individuals is the priority. We strive to provide the utmost peace of mind to these individuals that have already been through so much.

Since its inception, the Silver Birch Foundation has been able to assist over 300 individuals with things such as air conditioning units, emergency housing placement, home modifications, groceries, utility bills, prescription payments, moving expenses, pest control, and so much more.

“The annual dinner and auction is the main fundraising event for the Silver Birch Foundation.” Jacqi Lucke, CEO of Area Agency on Aging 3 stated. “The proceeds from the ticket sales and auction go to help those that have been victimized and are facing hardships, such as eviction, or in need of food and necessities that they otherwise would not get assistance for through other programs.”

The Silver Birch Foundation is an essential resource that continues to grow with ever-increasing needs within our communities. We look to the future within our 7-counties – Allen, Auglaize, Hancock, Hardin, Mercer, Putnam, and Van Wert – and know that the challenges are great, but we are determined to continue in our pursuit to assist those that are facing unbelievable hardships.
