St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima First in Region to Earn “Pediatric Ready” Emergency Designation
Mercy Health — St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima has officially been recognized as a “Pediatric Ready” Designated Emergency Department from the Ohio Emergency Medical Services for Children.
That makes the hospital the first in the region to earn the significant designation.
This three-year recognition, valid through February 2029, reflects St. Rita’s commitment to delivering exceptional, child‑centered emergency care.
St. Rita’s recently celebrated the milestone at the Ohio Emergency Medical Services for Children Conference, where the team was formally presented with the Certificate of Recognition.
