
Information on three crashes that occurred in Hardin County throughout the day on Monday, June 1 has been released.
According to the first report, 47-year-old Emily Shane, of Forest, drove from a stop sign on County Road 175 onto State Route 67, and her vehicle was struck by a westbound car being driven by Noah Von Derau, of Marion, no age listed.
Disabling damage occurred to the vehicles, but there were no injuries.
No citations were listed on the report.
That afternoon, 20-year-old Landen Elliott, of rural Kenton, drove from a stop sign on State Route 701 onto US 68, and his vehicle struck a northbound car being operated by 76-year-old Sandra Berry, also of rural Kenton.
Disabling damage occurred to the vehicles.
There were no injuries, and no citations were listed on the report.
Later that day, two people were injured in a crash that occurred on US 68 at County Road 180, south of Kenton.
According to the report, 51-year-old Eric Hamp, of Kenton, was driving north on 68, and he failed to slow down in time to avoid hitting a car in front of him being operated by 75-year-old R Lynn Hooley, of DeGraff, who was slowing down to make a right turn.
After the collision, Hamp’s vehicle overturned.
Both drivers were transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries.
A passenger in Hooley’s vehicle was not injured.
Hamp was cited for an assured clear distance ahead violation.
