Three KHS Seniors Receive John D. Wheeler Memorial Scholarship

Three seniors from the Class of 2025 at Kenton High School received a scholarship in the intitial year for the John D. Wheeler Memorial Scholarships.
Jameson Cummins , Kelton Spearman and Marissa Fox received a scholarship in memory of the 1937 graduate of Kenton High School.
Linda Eddy Randazzo, Cindee McCune Kratzenberg, Jim Cook and Susan Schwartz Harrison formed the scholarship committee after Wheeler passed away at the age of 104 on June 11, 2024.
The committee announced in October of 2024 that friends and family donated $4000 for the scholarships.
Harrison noted that the three recipients were selected out of 50 applicants, and she believes Wheeler would have approved of the choices.
