Two Injured After Loose Tire Strikes Car on US 30 in Hancock County

Two people were injured in an accident that occurred this past Saturday afternoon on US 30 in Hancock County.

According to the report from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, 34-year-old Si Yi Russell, of Payne, Ohio, was driving east on 30 when a tire broke loose on a pickup truck in the westbound lanes.

The tire rolled into the eastbound lanes and struck her car head on.

Russell and a passenger, 39-year-old Justin Russell, were both transported to Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay for treatment of injuries.

The pickup truck was being operated by 22-year-old Alex Miller, of Mount Vernon, and he was not injured.
