Two Residents Escape Marysville House Fire

A fire destroyed a home in Marysville Tuesday morning.

According to a release, at just before 8:00 Tuesday morning, Marysville Fire and Police units were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of Mills Park Drive.

Upon arrival, first responders found that one resident had successfully escaped the structure and was in the backyard.

A second person was still inside and was safely removed by Marysville Police Officers.

Both residents were escorted to a secure area where they were evaluated and treated by Marysville Fire EMS, and one of them was transported to Memorial Health Hospital with minor injuries.

Neighboring homes were evacuated due to the intensity of the fire.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown and remains under investigation.
