Upper Scioto Valley held its 3 E Signing Day on Thursday.

Seniors from the school declared their intent to either Enroll in college, Enlist in the military or obtain Employment.

Bailey Coate said she chose to enroll, “I’m going to Ohio Northern in the Fall for their Business Marketing and Finance.”

She talked about why she chose that field of study, “I really had no idea what I was wanting to do, but I know that if I go for Business, it has a wide variety of things. I mean I wanted to be a realtor at first, but I don’t know if that’s really the right path for me yet, and there’s a lot of programs and outreach from there that can help me for my future.”

Fellow senior Breanna Seimet is also enrolling at Ohio Northern University, “I’ve always liked Business Professionals of America. I’ve always liked doing that, and I love talking to people, so I’m going into Human Resources. I’m going into Management, because they don’t have Human Resources at ONU with a Finance minor.”

She spoke about the importance of the 3E program, “Because it helps people that weren’t really sure at the beginning of the year figure out what they wanted to do. I mean I knew what I wanted to do, but I know there’s a lot of people that didn’t, like we have Thatcher Downing  who’s going into the military. He’s a Marine. I think he’s the only one going into the military, but I thought that was pretty cool because he signed up this year, and it’s cool to support your country.”

And on behalf of all of us here at WKTN, good luck to all the students in the Class of 2024.
