Volunteers Clean Up Trash at Indian Lake
About 30 volunteers picked up litter along the shorelines at Indian Lake over the weekend.
Another opportunity to join local efforts to pick up litter at the lake will be announced soon.
Indian Lake State Park officials are asking everyone to help keep the lake clean by not littering in or around the water.
Also, discharging any pollution in or around the lake is illegal.
That includes solid wastes as well as blowing or dumping leaves into the water and putting chemicals into the lake to kill aquatic vegetation.
If anyone sees those types of activities taking place, call the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to report violators.
