Wapakoneta Summer Moon Festival Schedule to Start July 12

The City of Wapakoneta is gearing up for the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.

 

The hometown of Neil Armstrong is put on the Wapakoneta Summer Moon Festival for 10 days July 12 through the 21.

 

Enjoy hot air balloons, a parade and non-stop entertainment both downtown and at the Armstrong Air and Space Museum.  

 

Apollo 11 landed on the moon on July 16, 1969, and Armstrong became the first man to step foot on the lunar surface.
