The Village of Waynesfield Holiday Lights Competition returns for 2025.

In 2016, Waynesfield Village Council established the competition after the idea was presented by the Waynesfield Police Department.

Only residential properties will be eligible for prizes; however, businesses are encouraged to participate as well.

The competition will run from December 1st of each year to December 25th, and judging will take place at some point during those dates between sunset and 11 p.m.

Residential properties and businesses are encouraged to show their holiday spirit by illuminating their house, garage, yard, trees, and businesses with holiday lights and festive decorations and anything else that tactfully and appropriately showcases their property or business.

A three-person committee of non-Village residents will be selected to judge participants.

For more details on the competition, visit the Waynesfield Police Department’s Facebook page.
