With a new school year coming up fast, the West Ohio Food Bank is asking for donations to help fill a child’s lunch bag.

Chief Executive Officer Tommie Harner noted that every $10 will provide enough food for up to 50 nutritious meals.

She added that support will strengthen the food bank’s School Pantry and Backpack Programs, which provide vital resources that bring fresh, nutritious food into schools across their 11-county area, including Hardin.

Each pantry is stocked with fruits and vegetables, protein, dairy, and other healthy staples, all free of charge.
