Woman Injured After Her Bicycle was Struck by Car

A Bellefontaine woman was injured after her bicycle was struck by a car Monday afternoon.

 

According to the report from the Bellefontaine Police Department, 44 year old Angie Shepherd was riding the bike west in a marked crosswalk on North Park Street at the intersection of East Columbus Avenue.

 

The bike was struck by a car that was being operated by 64 year old Karen Bartley and was traveling south on Park.

 

Shepherd was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of injuries.

 

Bartley was cited for failure to yield the right of way in a crosswalk.
