Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost has teamed up with Sheriff’s Offices around the state to bring the National Child Identification program to Ohio.
Yost stated that according to statistics, more than 1000 children go missing in America every day, and most parents do not have a copy of their child’s fingerprints.
The identification cards being distributed can be completed and kept at home to be used in an emergency.
The child identification packets will be distributed to schools, and the Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officers will issue them accordingly.
