In March, Ohio Northern University Assistant Professor of History David Strittmatter, three other faculty and 27 students traveled to northern France and Belgium.
On the trip, they saw how the world wars reshaped the landscape and left a lasting impact on the people who reside there.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which had begun shortly before the group ventured over, also provided additional warfare context and concern.
To learn more about this decidedly memorable trip, access “The Past Speaks to the Present,” a multimedia feature that includes a full story, photos and video that illustrate what the group witnessed, participated in and learned.
