The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders opened CBC Mad River Division play Tuesday night with a strong performance, defeating the Shawnee Braves in straight sets, 25-9, 25-15, 25-19.
Benjamin Logan came out aggressively in the opening set, controlling the match from the start and taking the first set 25-9. The Raiders continued their momentum in the second set, winning 25-15, before closing out the match with a 25-19 victory in the third.
Leading the Raiders offensively was Summer Cline, who recorded 13 kills and 3 aces. Georgia Daniels added 6 kills and 3 aces, while Abby Vance contributed 5 kills and 3 aces.
At the setter position, Autumn Cline directed the Benjamin Logan offense with 24 assists and added 4 aces.
Additional statistical leaders included Storm LeVan with 2 kills, Nevaeh Fogle with 1 kill, and Adabella Guider with 1 kill and 1 block.
Defensively, Brielle Kline led the passing effort with a 2.72 passing rating, followed by Lydia Johnson with a 2.14.
The victory gives Benjamin Logan a strong start to CBC Mad River Division competition as the Raiders continue their regular-season schedule.
