Hardin Northern Softball’s Historic 2026 Campaign Ends in Regional Semifinals
The 2026 season was a memorable one for Hardin Northern softball, as the Polar Bears claimed their first outright NWCC championship since 2015. Head coach Boyd Stewart was named NWCC Coach of the Year, and nine players earned All-NWCC honors for their standout performances.
The team’s success carried into the postseason, where they made the school’s first-ever trip to regionals. Although they fell in a shutout in the regional semifinals, Hardin Northern still managed to outscore their postseason opponents 13–10.
