
The Kenton Wildcats set four school records Thursday night, using every one of them to edge out WBL rival Celina 3195-3172. They opened strong with a 982 first individual game but trailed by four pins, 982-986. In the second game, they smashed a school record with 1126 (248-241-235-228-174) to Celina’s 1057, grabbing a 65-pin lead heading into the five baker games at 2108-2043. That 2108 two-game series was their second record of the night.
Celina roared back with a 278 baker to lead by 52 pins, but Kenton chipped away in games two and three, closing to within 35. They surged ahead in game four with a 229-170 win and held on in game five 248-249 to clinch the match with another school record total, 3195-3172. Their 1087 baker total was also a school record.
Four Wildcats bowled 400+ series: Eban Albert led with 470 (222-248), including the high game. Trevor Roesner tallied 443 (215-228), Cale Harshfield posted 428 (187-241), and Hudson Latimore added 404 (169-235). Noah Beidelschies rounded things out with 363 (189-174).
Kenton travels to league-leading St. Mary’s on Monday at Varsity Lanes at 5:00 pm.
