Kenton Boys Golf Falls in Final WBL Match of the Season

The Kenton Boys Varsity Golf team wrapped up their Western Buckeye League (WBL) season on Thursday with a road match against Van Wert at Willow Bend Country Club. Despite a solid team effort, the Wildcats fell short, posting a team score of 171 to Van Wert’s impressive 150. Senior Oliver Sneary led the way for Kenton, carding a 39 to continue his strong season performance. Austin Root followed with a 43, while Landon Plaugher added a 44. Rounding out the scoring were Parker Benson (45), Cale Harshfield (47), and Jack Whitmer (48). While the match didn’t end in Kenton’s favor, Head Coach James noted the team’s continued growth throughout the season and praised the players for their resilience and effort. This match marked the conclusion of Kenton’s WBL regular season schedule, with the team now shifting focus to upcoming postseason play.
