Kenton Boys Varsity Bowling opens WBL Play with Win

The Kenton Wildcats kicked off WBL play Thursday night with a thrilling match against Van Wert, pulling off a 30-pin victory, 2713-2683. They started strong, rolling an 859 in the first individual game to grab a 14-pin lead. Kenton added just 2 more pins to their advantage after a 907 in the second game. The match came down to the five baker games, with the teams trading wins in the first three, keeping Kenton ahead by 22 pins. A big 222 in the fourth baker game helped the Wildcats hold on in the fifth to secure the win. Next up, Kenton heads to 20th Century Lanes in Lima on Saturday to face Shawnee in another WBL matchup, starting at 9:00 a.m.
