Kenton Boys Varsity Tennis competes at WBL Tournament

The Kenton Wildcats traveled to UNOH for the WBL tennis tournament.

In 1st singles, Wyatt Campbell played Braydon Hooker from Wapakoneta, losing 0-6, 1-6.

In 2nd singles, Seth Spencer played Joshua Shoen from Celina, winning 6-1, 7-5. In his second match, Seth faced Jaden Neuman from Elida, losing 0-6, 0-6. In the backdraw, Seth drew Braydon VanBuskirk of Bath, losing 0-8.  In his final match of the day, Seth defeated Riley Szelagowski from Wapakoneta 8-1, finishing in 7th place.

In 3rd singles, Brian Rogers played Kami Jauert from Wapakoneta, losing 2-6, 6-7 (2-7)

In 1st doubles, Cale Harshfield/Braylon Smith played Reese Schadl/Olivia Lewis, winning 6-0, 6-0.  In their second match, they faced Ollie Chisholm/Hunter Wingnet from St. Marys, losing a hard fought battle 5-7, 7-5, 4-6.  In the backdraw, Kenton played Ethan Bodine/Zach White from Bath, winning 8-4.  In their final match, they faced Noah Pugsley/Zach Stoller of Van Wert, losing 8-9 (6-8), to finish in 8th place.

In 2nd doubles, Tate Ketcham/Ethan McNamara played Henry Hoffman/Jacon Schnitkey from Defiance, winning 6-3, 6-4.  In their second match, they faced Tanner Layman/Carson Wright from Elida, losing 1-6, 0-6.  In the backdraw, Kenton played Cody Miller/Hale Hensley from Bath, losing 8-9 (2-7).  In their final match, they faced Caison Hall/Jonathon Auers, losing 4-8 to finish in 8th place.

Kenton hosts Bucyrus Monday @ 4:30pm on Senior Night.
