Kenton Boys Varsity Tennis falls to Celina 3 – 2

The Kenton Wildcats played another competitive match Thursday night @ Celina.

The 1st doubles team of Cale Harshfield/Braylon Smith cruised to a 6-2, 6-3 win.  Richard Huang battled back at 3rd singles. He lost the 1st set 2-6, then came back to win the next 2 sets 6-2, 6-4 to win his match.  Seth Spencer also forced a 3rd set at 2nd singles.  He lost the 1st set 1-6, rebounded with a 7-5 win in the 2nd set but couldn’t complete the comeback, losing set 3 3-6.  Wyatt Campbell, at 1st singles, and the 2nd doubles team of Tate Ketcham/Jack Whitmer also competed strong against Celina.

1st Singles: Wyatt Campbell lost to Jack Zhang 0-6, 1-6

2nd Singles: Seth Spencer lost to Joshua Schoen 1-6, 7-5, 3-6

3rd Singles:  Richard Huang defeated Christian Fent 2-6, 6-2, 6-4

1st Doubles: Cale Harshfield/Braylon Smith defeated Preston Speelman/Nicholas Johnson 6-2, 6-3

2nd Doubles: Tate Ketcham/Jack Whitmer lost to Jonathan Avers/Caison Hall 3-6, 3-6

The Wildcats host Ottawa Glandorf Friday @ 4:30pm
