Kenton Girls’ Tennis Took on St. Mary’s

Kenton’s Presley Wilson was the only player to come away with a victory against St. Mary’s. Presley won 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) over Maylee Fischbach at second singles. Amanda Van Horn fell at first singles in a close match with Lilly Hernandez 3-6, 4-6. McKenna Stanforth returned to third singles and lost to Kenzie Behr 0-6, 0-6. Kenton’s first doubles team of Katelyn Stevenson and Mia Vermillion fell 0-6, 0-6 to Logan Henschen and Delanni Wilker 0-6, 0-6. At second doubles, Katie Lowe and Diana Nease lost 1-6, 3-6 to Sophia Zheng and Sophie Long. Kenton is back home from three home matches next week. Kenton plays Van Wert on 9/15, Marion River Valley on 9/16, and Celina on 9/18. All matches start at 4:30 pm.
